Purchase price when introduced was $5,000. It has had light use, it was used as a second system. Included is the Meridian remote also in excellent condition and is fully functional ( a 9 Volt battery is in place ). A users manual and power cord is also provided. I also included a trigger cable for turning on power amp or other device. I only used the analog & digital audio portion of the this controller as a preamp. The on-screen display automatically locks to an NTSC, PAL, or SECAM signal, and requires an input signal to operate. You must use an analog TV to use the display feature. I used the display on the unit front panel to set up the inputs for digital and analog. This was upgraded by a well known ex-Meridian employee from a 568, using a brand new upgrade PCB. I have owned the unit for 10 years and it has never let me down, unlike the G68 that replaced it! I’ve kept it as a back up for the last 3 years as I’ve had so many issues, but the G68 has, fingers crossed, been behaving, so I am reluctantly selling it on. Comes in original box with inserts and power lead. As a side note: since the upgrade, it’s displays “bad software” when you set the type, but not at any other time during use. The ex-employee said this was a known issue that was never fixed, but means nothing and doesn’t not impact use / sound / operation in anyway. I got this with a view of having a good second TV/media room - sadly it has only really been tested and left in stand by for probably a year in total. For the vast majority of the time, the 562 just sat in the corner gathering dust ...... the kids have now grown up! Im not sure where the blank plug is for the Optical input #1. There is probably a remote, if I find it, Ill include it As I recall, it processes at 96kHz/24bit - you should check all specifications yourself to be sure. It is unquestionably good. Being the V2 version, it has all the refinements one would require, and I seem to recall an additional DAC card or something that elevates the V2 way beyond the previous iterations of this unit. An internal Phono Card can be added, making Analogue Input #1 into a dedicated Turntable pre-amp (I believe either MC or MM). Condition wise, its quite clean throughout, but please study the pictures. Im not sure why some of the case screws and washers rust a little, my home is certainly not damp, but the same has occurred to my 861 and my G98 - guess its just one of those things. For those familiar with Meridian products of this type, set up, while straight forward, there is still need for attention to detail, and careful reading of the instruction manual (Meridian manuals do contain all of the info, but are somewhat tortuous). Manuals cans easily be downloaded - if in doubt, a Meridian stockist will be able to assist. The good news is that you cant damage a Meridian product by programming it incorrectly! Please note however, the Meridian Comms sockets should only be used to connect to other Meridian products, thereby engendering an amazing, fully integrated system. The original box was recycled years ago, but it will be safely packed and marked as fragile. The 563 weighs in at 5kg. Feel free to collect from West Sheffield to save postage.
