Meridian 207 Transport and CD Player with built in premp with volume control.The transport is based on Philips CDM-4.CD Player is based on Philips TDA1541A-S1 DAC! TDA1541A-S1 (Single Crown) DAC alone is well worth the asking price. It does not read CDs. Preamp section was not tested although the display shows correct response to volume level increase and decrease buttons. Interconnect cable has plastic shells a bit lose so I taped them. Sold as is for parts or repair. Made in England! Excellent material for a next project. I am preparing for a move and do not have time to play with it. Meridian 207 mkII Cd Player / Transport. Separated into two bodies, one of them based on the Philips TDA-1541S1 DAC and a built-in preamplifier. The second is the transport based on the Philips CDM-4. Both interconnected by a 25-pin cable. An LED lights up when you plug it in but it doesnt do anything else. The device does not respond to any keys and the digits do not appear on the screen. The front glass panel of the transport has taken a hit and broken, as can be seen in the photos. The device is complete. All pieces are inside although i dont know if they are in good condition. It works at 220-240 volts. This device was sold but the buyer didnt pay it so it is back on auction. Listed for parts or spares. This item will be dispatched well packaged with tracking number.

Works but sound has hissing sound like a bad reception when listening to fm radio. I have only tried the rca connectors not the meridian maybe that out put does not have issue. Meridian Manuals. The 203 is 100% original - I still have one, and some how acquired two of these and they’re identical so quite sure this is the original. The 207, less sure it maybe a period photocopy. Useful for an owner or enthusiast. I forgot I had this when I sold Meridian bits, but alas I no longer own them.
