Ich biete hier einen Melco HA-N1A Musikbibliotheksserver an. Das Gerät hat eine Festplatte, auf der digitale Audiodaten gehalten und in einem Netzwerk für einen Audioplayer bereitgestellt werden. Es ist quasi ein audiophiles NAS. Im Gegensatz zu einem handelsüblichen NAS wurde hier bei der Verarbeitung Wert auf eine möglichst gute Abschirmung sämtlicher Komponenten gelegt, um Streuimpulse zu minimieren oder zu verhindern. Dazu gehört auch der verwendete Trafo, der dem Gerät zu einigem Gewicht verhilft. Die verbaute Festplatte ist für den Einsatz extra selektiert. Das Gerät wird in das Heimnetzwerk eingebunden, der Zugriff erfolgt mit einer Playersoftware entweder über UPnP oder Minimserver. Letzterer ist auf der Festplatte im Gerät abgelegt, bei UPnP braucht es den nicht. Bei mir war das Gerät über ein LAN-Kabel ins Netzwerk eingebunden, ein zweites LAN-Kabel ging direkt vom N1A in den DAC (KEF-Boxen). Als Software hatte ich das Programm Audirvana im Einsatz. Das funktionierte alles wunderbar. Über den Datei-Browser hat man direkt Zugriff auf die verbaute Festplatte und kann einfach die Aufiodaten rüberkopieren. Infos zum N1A gibt es auch noch auf der Melco-Website. Das Gerät arbeitet einwandfrei und ist in einem ebensolchen optischen Zustand. Das Gehäuse ist aus Metall.
