For your consideration, today we are offering ONE VERY RARE, 1980s VINTAGE McINTOSH MCC 800 MOVING COIL PHONOGRAPH CARTRIDGE! A VERY seldom seen cartridge, these were introduced in the early 1980s by McIntosh in the US, and were custom made for them, by MARK industries of JAPAN! Very similar to the Japanese made GOLDBUG cartridges, these were virtually hand made, and VERY FEW were ever sold! McIntosh offered these for a very short period of time. Highly sought after , these cartridges are both wonderful to listen to, and highly collectible. This example, has been used, and DOES have wear to the stylus. It would benefit from a re-tip, but the cantilever is in perfect , undamaged condition. The coils are both good, and the cartridge is functional. Very clean McIntosh c15 preamplifier. No problems at all with the pre, everything works and sounds great. No buzz or hum at all. Dead quiet. The factory mm phono stage sounds great as well. It’s nice having a audiophile preamplifier that has loudness and tone controls when needed. Includes: c-15 , factory manual, power cord, remote control (the remote stopped working) (problem is with remote not the preamp) replacement can be bought for cheap. Ive had this for about a year and half and havent used it much as I upgraded to another preamp early this year. I dont have the original box but it will be well packed. The remote and cable are included along with manual.
