A VERY seldom seen cartridge, these were introduced in the early 1980s by McIntosh in the US, and were custom made for them, by MARK industries of JAPAN! Very similar to the Japanese made GOLDBUG cartridges, these were virtually hand made, and VERY FEW were ever sold! McIntosh offered these for a very short period of time. Highly sought after , these cartridges are both wonderful to listen to, and highly collectible. This example, has been used, and DOES have wear to the stylus. It would benefit from a re-tip, but the cantilever is in perfect , undamaged condition. The coils are both good, and the cartridge is functional.
