This McIntosh MCT450 CD/SACD Transport is in absolute minty fresh condish. Includes original box/packaging, manual, power cord, and DIN/MCT cable. I am the only owner having purchased it when it was released around 2018 from BB. This is an incredible sounding unit that only plays SACDs with McIntosh systems because of its proprietary MCT DIN connection. It can play CDs through the coaxial or optical connections through another DAC. I would keep it but I am also selling my MAC7200 receiver that had the DAC built in to play SACDs with this transport. Im sure if you are looking at this and have read this far then you know all about it. I do encourage you to go look at the specs online. The only difference between this and the MCT500 is the other one has a USB port on the front whereas this does not. I baby my gear so the lucky person who gets this will be saving a ton! Of course, I will entertain reasonable offers. I am also selling a couple of other companion McIntosh components so be sure to check out my other listings if you are interested. McIntosh MCT-450 Transport SACD Player This is a McIntosh CD transport. It requires an external DAC of some sort to function. It can be a stand alone DAC such as Schiit, DirectStream, McIntosh D150, Cambridge, Chord and many others. It will also work with many preamplifiers and home theater processors that have an optical or coax input. This unit does not have RCA outputs. For this unit to play SACDs it must be connected to a few select McIntosh preamplifiers or DACs that have a proprietary digital DIN input. These will also require a special cable, McIntosh part number 171923. Im selling this because I primarily listen to my old MC60s tube amps and mostly analog recordings. I would say this unit is close to perfect. The glass is like new and the chrome on the sides is flawless. The top is extremely good too. Ive looked at it in different lighting conditions and angles and nothing stands out from two feet away. This includes the MCT-450, power chord, remote and users manual. It will come shipped in the original McIntosh outer box, however, I took the box to my local pack n ship store to have more cushioning and protection added. Ive had a couple of bad experiences with McIntosh shipping cartons both on the buying and selling side. Nothing is worse than the expense of replacing a needlessly cracked glass.
