This cabinet is designed to fit McIntosh components with a 17 1/2 wide chassis and 5 3/8 High. This includes the C36 C38 C40 MCD7008 MCD7009 MX118 and C22 MKIII. Outside dimensions are 18 1/2 Wide 6 7/16 High14 7/16 Deep. Good condition see photos. Please email with any questions you may have.

The worst pictures are upfront previous owner instead of taking unit for servicing and getting the belts changed like an adult—he tried to open up the drawer with a set of pliers or something it’s hard to say, but clearly this person was deranged. I assure you it was not me. Picked up these three units from a house that was sold and needed to be emptied. I was happy to take and probably pay too much for the McIntosh stereo and was so excited to have found it. It didn’t dawn on me for a minute that it’s way too much wattage for my tiny cottage tried to sell the three units as a bundle for a little while without any interest, so selling the units individually, see the other two listed simultaneously. Shipping, vintage stereo, gear, and other such things for eBay since 1999 so you can be sure this will be packed with care. If you have questions or more pictures, please ask.

Look at this dream system bundle all at once. The buy it now price should be inviting considering the condition of these units and how recently they have been serviced. If you need an FM tuner, or a turntable to go with it, let me know, and we can work something out with that too. Local pick up strongly encouraged because these are going to be a tremendous burden to ship not to worry though I have shipped many expensive stereo units and they go box in box. Delivery within reasonable distance also an option if negotiated before end of auction. More pictures available. Only damage of note are scratches on the CD drawer. The previous owner clearly tried to pry open. When belts were in operative. Unit has been fully serviced. All new belts. Preamp and amplifier also serviced, new lamps on amplifier. They have not been recapped However, all of the units have been cleaned and serviced by a certified by many different manufacturers repair shop—though they do not have Macintosh certification specifically. This unit was purchased from the estate of an elderly couple that was downsizing. This unit was built into the walls of their home, and I don’t think they ever even used them!! After obtaining them took it in for servicing and have been told that these have a long life ahead of them. Check out my feedback. I’ve been selling on eBay since 1999.
