This amp is in very good condition and has no operational problems. In 2022 I took the amp to a McIntosh certified repair tech for some minor repairs and to make sure the amp was up to specs. Repairs included a new meter switch, replacement of 9 capacitors, a new speaker terminal strip, replacement of three bulbs (McIntosh logo, power guard indicators), and new meter LEDs. The amp sounds great and easily is capable of its 270-watt per channel power. The glass and front panel are in perfect condition; there are some very minor scuffs on the top and sides, just due to the rare times of moving the amp around. The only item not replaced was the rotating power on/off switch; I dont remember the reason that the tech did not replace it, whether it was an availability situation or other issue. Instead of just moving from Off to On, the switch rotates nearly a full rotation before activating the power on or off. Despite the rotation, the switch works as it should, turning the amp on or off as required; since operating the amps power is usually done from a remote source anyway, it is not an operational issue and it works fine. I have considered this situation in the asking price. The tech removed the Panloc arms - as shown in the last photo - I dont remember why this was done. They are included in case the buyer wants to reinstall them. A copy of the operating manual is also included. I acquired a correct shipping box from McIntosh to ensure that the amp arrives to the buyer safely. Shipping cost will likely be in the $200 range, possibly somewhat higher. Thanks for looking.
