The front panel glass is in good condition, and all backlights are functioning. There is a small bubble approximately 0.20 inches next to the headphone jack on the backside of the glass, but otherwise, there are no significant issues. The top of the amplifier and the heat sink show no noticeable scratches or discoloration. The rear side is also free of significant scratches, and the terminals are in good condition. While there may be minor scratches upon close inspection due to its age, it is considered to be in excellent condition overall. This MC2125 is a transistor amplifier that uses McIntoshs unique auto-transformer for output. Unlike most transistor amplifiers that connect speakers directly to the output stage, McIntosh uses an output transformer between the output stage and the speakers, enhancing stability and robustness. The amplifier is considerably large and heavy due to the inclusion of a large output transformer, which allows for impedance matching with a wide range of speakers while delivering a continuous rated output of 120W. The output relay has been replaced by our company due to contact issues. According to the previous owner, all signal circuit capacitors were replaced in 2005 by a repair company (documentation available), and no issues were found during the operational check, indicating that no further maintenance is needed at this time. The front backlights were checked, and one meter backlight was found to be out, so all six were replaced as a precaution (the old bulbs that were still functioning are included as spares). This amp is in good used condition with very little physical wear as shown. It was recently recapped and gone through. The power button was bypassed so the unit is now always on when plugged in. You can simply plug it into a power strip with a switch to regain an on/off option with a switch if you so choose. The left gain seems a touch quieter than the right gain and when set at the same levels you can see that the power level doesnt go as high in the meters. The previous owner would simply adjust the gains so that theyd be even and never had a problem with this. Aside from these 2 issues it works great and sounds excellent. McIntosh Mc2105 Recently Cleaned and Serviced, Non Smoking Home Just had it serviced and everything under the hood is tip top. New speaker terminals (direct from mcintosh) were put on it, and it has new upgraded RCA inputs. Glass is in near perfect condition, just a tiny bit of standard bubbling around the headphone jack. She works perfectly and sounds exactly how you think she does. Also comes with a new shipping box from the company.
