Description
Preowned McIntosh Audiophile Stereo Receiver W/ Original Box & Remote PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BELOW. Used, but in very good condition. Please see pictures. THE GLASS FACE PLATE BROKE AND IS NOW MISSING. PLEASE REVIEW ALL PICTURES CLOSELY. Comes with what’s in pictures, including power cord and remote. The small bottom button panel—although fully functional—does require the face plate to remain steady in place. The buttons can be pressed and function well, but the small button panel does move a bit without the face glass securing it. Everything else is secured and does not move, even without the glass face plate. Please note the face plate may have had some other pieces on it as well. Please look at the pictures of the stereo and make sure there is nothing missing. I will look through the glass pieces and see if something looks important. There is a small rectangular piece that has a blue-tinted piece of transparent plastic on it, and I will include it with the purchase. It appears that anything that is missing doesn’t affect its functioning, since it fully functions without its glass face panel. Sounds great. Everything works, as well as all inputs. Two of the posts appear to be missing their “nuts. Please review all pictures, and pictures of the back of the unit as well. The remote is also in good condition. Please note there is a “film” or something on the remote, so it’ll need some time with a Q-Tip and alcohol, but the film does come off. The remote was lost some time ago and, was under a couch or something, so it got really dirty and dusty. It does function though. Comes with original boxes & remote. The boxes show use, wear, and damage (mostly the exterior box) from shipping and storage. * All lights seem to function well. * The VU meters work as they should when put on “Outputs 1”, but when I switch to “Outputs 2”, the VU meters do not do anything. Again, maybe I just don’t understand these, but I wanted to disclose it. * Just comes with what’s in pictures. * It powers up and lights up well. I am sorry shipping is so much, but this unit is HEAVY, and it will have to be insured as well, and for an item this expensive, it’s kinda pricy. If you are local or close, you are welcome to pick it up, for no shipping or insurance charges. Please do not ask me what my minimum price is. I am very sorry if this appears rude or terse, but I am just trying to save you time. Thank you for understanding. Shipping is to the 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii are extra. Please contact me for shipping quote prior to purchase if you do not want it shipped within the continental 48 US States. Thank you. Please note the handling time posted in the the listing. Although we try to ship out as quickly as possible, sometimes we take the entire time window stated in the posting. This listing has an (up to) ten-business-day window before it’s shipped. Please note when we marked an item as shipped, we did not just purchase the shipping label. It means we purchased the shipping label, and it is going out that day. Please note we often use recycled boxes and packing materials. While it is all clean—especially the interior packing material; the packing paper is often new—sometimes it’s used. The boxes may show wear. Most of the time the boxes are used. Please forgive us in advance for this. We are expert packers, so your item will arrive safely (unless the carriers do a number on it, which they do occasionally :(, but to keep our costs down (which serendipitously is good for the environment too), we do this. Thank you in advance for understanding. I don't enjoy saying this, but due to a few bad apples almost spoiling eBay for all of us, a seller must protect themselves as well--especially on the higher-dollar items, so the stereo’s serial number and information is logged, and “mapped (fully) with detailed pictures, in the event a return is attempted with a different stereo, or a part is changed or removed. Again, please accept my apologies for this statement. It's only directed toward the 1%. PLEASE NOTE THE STEREO WILL BE SHIPPED IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX. SO THE BOX MAY SHOW SOME ADDITIONAL WEAR FROM TRANSIT. Ref: 17226On Feb-18-24 at 10:05:05 PST, seller added the following information: I was looking closely at the pictures and see there is a small blue lighted “dot” in the far right of the display. Maybe it’s a diode that’s faulty, or something, but I do not believe it is supposed to be on. It does not affect its operation, and I only noticed it when I was looking at the post pictures, and when it was tuned into a radio station (when the screen is more full of display, it uses that diode and then can not be noticed). So please take note of this when bidding. Thank you. On Feb-18-24 at 16:58:35 PST, seller added the following information: The last two pictures are of the broken face glass that I have. If you would like any of this included with the shipment, please let me know (packed carefully). Otherwise, it will be discarded (other than the blue rectangular piece, of course—which will be included with the shipment). On Feb-18-24 at 17:10:10 PST, seller added the following information: The last picture is of additional pieces I located of the faceplate glass.
