For sale is a Mcintosh C46 full analog preamplifier with 8-band equalizer. This is one of the last preamps made by Mcintosh before they started adding built in DACs. These units are known for their excellent sound quality and reliability and this unit does sound great. Original Box/Remote/Manual was lost after moving. I have purchased a new Mcintosh universal remote model HR-085 that is currently programmed to control power/volume/mute but will need to have more codes entered to change inputs on this C46 (I may have this done by the time it sells). The faceplate has a couple small cracks near the volume dial. Over the years I have sold and successfully shipped lots of mcintosh gear without the original boxes. I make several wraps with large bubble wrap and then pack that tightly in a heavy duty box with another layer of foam around the outside of the wrapped item. I also pull the knobs off before wrapping it up and packing them separately in the package so they are not getting pushed into the glass face in the event of a hard impact. Shipping price is $150 as I will need to ship this from a UPS store without the ebay discount because I cannot buy a label through ebay that is insured for more that $1000. I will ship this through UPS to anywhere in the lower 48 states or through the eBay international shipping program. Thanks for looking & happy bidding.
