This Open Box example of the remarkable McIntosh C45 Audio Control Center was ordered for a client who decided to go with an MX-151 with HDMI switching and Room Perfect.However, he kept it thinking he might have us install it in another room but never got around to it.It has been in its original box and packing until recently and we have thoroughly inspected it and its perfect~ The C45 was one of our best recommended 5.1 pieces going back to 2003~Even after McIntosh replaced it with the C46, we continued recommending the C45 until it was no longer available.We preferred the 5.1 output over the additional equalization of the C46 and we could never hear any sonic benefits to the C46. This example is essentially an NOS (New Old Stock) and the client simply didnt use it. There are a number of great reviews of the C45 if youre not familiar with its features and capabilities.Like all McIntosh gear, it is built to exacting standards and will provide its owner with years and years of trouble free performance. If you were ever in the market for a perfect C45 and couldnt spend the money for a new one this just may be the the best opportunity you will find.
