A powerhouse of a preamplifier - vinyl lovers look no further! The phono stage on this thing is unbelievable. Rest assured, I had a chance to compare this to a C50 (which I am also listing as I did a shootout between the two for YouTube) - and just between us - the C48 has my preference in terms of sound quality and presentation. Up for your consideration is a Mcintosh MX120 Pre Amplifier. Device is from the estate of a local avid ham radio operator who also collected some Hifi. Physical condition is fantastic ! What you see in the glass are reflections. Unit was still connected when I acquired it however, we were unable to locate the remote. Given the physical condition and circumstances up on how it was acquired., I just assumed the preamp worked. However I test to the best of my ability everything I sell and when I teste this I could not get any sound out of it to the amp. Now I dont know if I am doing something wrong or there is a setting on the remote or it just is not working but again I could not get sound to pass thru it.
