McIntosh MR77 FM Stereo Tuner acquired from the family of the original owner. I gave this unit a quick test and although it works and sounds good it probably could use an alignment/service. The center channel tuning meter on the right side is off a little. When a station is tuned in it is not at dead center like it should be. Using a thin wire for an indoor antenna, I was able to pull in a stereo signal for most local stations. Cosmetics are fair at best, the face plate has areas of the black back covering under the glass, peeling off, fading, and discoloring. There are no cracks in the glass. The bright chrome chassis has oxidation/tarnish. As previously stated, this unit works and is usable but could use service to bring it back to original specifications. Due to age, a long period of non-use, and the above-mentioned inaccurate center channel meter reading, this tuner is offered for restoration and sold as is. Please view the auction photos.
