Amplifier comes with a protective cage not shown in the photos , Tubes in the photos aren't included in the sale, amplifier would come with EH KT88 power tubes, Mullard/RTC Ecc83 , 6201/ecc81 Valvo and pair of lesser tubes for MM phono stage . Power amplifier PCB boards have been upgraded with better quality grid voltage regulators,  higher tolerance and power rating resistors and some electrolytic capacitors - please see photos.  Amplifier works perfectly and I'd prefer to demo to the potential buyer  I also should have spare power amplifier PCB - bought from McIntosh when still available , £500 after taxes and duty - both channels use same PCB - I bought spare board after I've had some issues with Chinese made power tubes. I was warned at the time to not use any Shuguang power valves as I've tried them twice and both times power boards needed looking at and replacing voltage regulators and couple other bits , I swapped to Russian made KT88 and  never had issues like that with any other power tubes- it must be good 8-10 years since . Now bad things : -scratch on top of one autotransformer -see photo -scratch to one of the aluminum trims- see photo - first owner liked to over do speaker connections bit too tightly - - and 8 ohm terminal show some wear- see photos  - balance potentiometer is bit noisy when rotated- obviously is fine when left in one position- I have a new one from McIntosh  but it requires someone competent to install, possibly it might be a matter of dropping bit of contact cleaner, it didn't bother me at all as I left balance in a 0 position and works fine - I have bought from McIntosh  spare motorized volume control which I'd supply , yet again competent person has  to fit one  - comes with all packaging, it has some water damage to the bottom but perfectly usable  - remote control is not in greatest condition and volume buttons are bit temperamental , it was quite well known issue with this type of remote supplied at the time with wider range of McIntosh integrated amps . McIntosh released universal remote control to replace it , still could be found on-line  Due to it's weight and fragile nature strictly collection only

This McIntosh remote control is used and has been tested. My uncle was audiophile but is selling his system due to a move. This remote works for many more models than listed.
