Mcintosh MVP841 DVD/Video CD/CD Player with Remote HR040Serial No. SF1535. Manufactured 2001. We used this fine DVD/CD player mostly for CD playback in our home stereo system. Sound quality is as good if not better than our MCD7007. We did watch some movies, but many movies we put into the machine for some reason would not play. Likewise, a few CDs would not be detected and result in a no disc display. Otherwise this excellent machine plays music beautifully, from classical to rock, especially on vocals. Cosmetically the MVP841 is near perfect. Front glass is flawless, all lights work, all functions work (except aforementioned issues). Please note this is the wider McIntosh chassis, not the earlier chassis with the pan lock. No box, no manual. Power cord might not be the original McIntosh cord (I cant tell). Remote functions work perfectly and its in good shape cosmetically. The battery cover is broken, but can be slid into place and stays put. Next day shipping. Thanks for looking! Up for sale is a very nice, tested McIntosh genuine factory remote. Model number is HR040, part number 12104000. We tested the functions with a light meter that showed it was sending a signal out from every key as it was pushed.Weve sold several remotes with this level of testing and never had a problem so long as it was paired with the component it was designed for.
