For sale is my gently used Matrix X-SPDIF 3. Great condition, everything works, including original box and accessories. Selling because I am upgrading to a higher-end DDC. Sound quality is excellent. The amount of extra detail is incredible. You can power it over USB until you get a nice linear power supply (which does significantly improve sound quality). Build quality is excellent- it is a big heavy hunk of metal. There are DIP switches on the bottom you can use to adjust I2S pinout and DoP configuration. The primary difference between the X-SPDIF 2 and X-SPDIF 3 is that the 3rd gen has galvanically isolated I2S output, so if youre using I2S out (and you should be), this is going to be much quieter- especially if your USB input is from a noisy computer.
