This was removed from an HTM1 so the part number is different from the other matrix HTM speakers because this one has shielding included, which is the metal cup and an extra bucking magnet on the back. Works for 805 but not 803 or 804 which use a midrange and not a mid/woofer like this one.

This item was found in a cardboard box of a collection of miscellaneous items. There are no visible damages, and it is in good condition. Both low and high-frequency sounds are functioning properly without distortion. Unit cone, center, and edge are in good condition. The network is also functioning well. It is a 2-way sealed type. Dimensions are 160mm (width) x 245mm (height) x 215mm (depth), with an extended height of 340mm. The weight is approximately 5.5kg. It features a ?12.6cm cross-carbon woofer and a ?2.6cm metal dome tweeter. Frequency response is 65Hz to 40kHz with a sound pressure level of 85dB/W/m. Input power handling is 120W/8? (4? or higher). Offered is a set of Monster Cable Speaker Jumpers for the B&W 801. Condition - Listing as used as they are not sealed in a package, however, they are straight and appear to have not been used. These were found at an estate sale - These were found in a parts box in the garage...They were in a plastic bag with B&W 801 Speakers written on a piece of paper - see image. The speakers were in another room with a sheet over them and not for sale. The wires have MONSTER CABLE for B&W MATRIX LOUDSPEAKERS printed on the shielding - see images. The connectors have 12-10 NTM 55Y6 stamped on them - see images. They are approx. 4 (wire only) with the connector. Just a note - due to the length of the shielding one of the red wires only has W MATRIX LOUDSPEAKERS and one of the black wires does not have any text on it - see images. The other two have the complete text printed on them - see images. I am guessing these came with the speakers but the owner did not use them. I paid what I felt was a reasonable price for them, considering the condition. I couldnt find a lot of information about them, except for some threads scattered throughout forums discussing their heritage and lineage. It seems that overall theyre a great product from B&W. Based on what I could find, retail for these was around $4000 in the early 90s. Not chump change, thats for sure. Also, the Matrix cabinet is interesting technology. They are musical with a rich midrange and a nice, clear treble. The bass is quite nice too. I think a lot of this is attributed to the dead cabinets thanks to the Matrix technology. The knuckle test shows the cabinets are about as dead as can be. Overall, the sound they produce is excellent. They are one of the better loudspeakers Ive had through the stable and Ive had a lot. If you see a pair at a reasonable price and want to get yourself into some higher end sound, these are worth getting. Bowers and Wilkins 801 series 2 anniversary edition.rare model.the speakers sound fantastic as they should.the left speaker in the picture has had its voice coil changed out for a new one because the old one was rubbing a little and wanted them right for the next buyer.as you can see in the picture the surround has some imperfections because it was sitting in a box for three days.miller sound in Philadelphia did the work.he said the imperfections will disappear as it’s in its place.the speakers are near mint.i have the original boxes so I can ship these.its up to you to get a shipper as I have to idea how to ship freight.total weight is about 259 pounds with packing.i have the woofer covers also.no scratches or marks.for the age these are in fantastic shape. Very important if you pick up the speakers I’ll will sell for $500.00 less than my asking price!!
