Martin Logan Theos speakers offered for parts or repair. The electrostatic panels are not working well and probably need to be replaced. One barely makes a sound with only a bit of high frequencies coming from the top of the panel. The other on is somewhat better with some midrange and treble coming from 2 places on the panel but nowhere near what it should be. The bass sections work well on both speakers. Speakers look nice with some dings and scratches on the box and a few dings on the frames of the panels but nothing major. There is some discoloration on one of the panels near the bottom and a small dent in the middle. Please look at the pictures closely for condition. These were excellent speakers and cost almost $5,000.00 when new. They are well worth fixing. I dont really have a suitable listening room for them right now and dont want to spend the money to fix them. Hopefully someone out there can fix them and give them a good home. They come with 2-15v power supplies for the electrostatic panels. If youre not familiar with this design, theyre electrostatic panels for superb high end detail, but because theyre compact and narrow compared to traditional electrostats, Martin Logan wisely adds conventional 8 drivers to cover the lows. Ive never felt the need to add a sub- plenty of bass IMO. Truly outstanding response of 42-22000 Hz with remarkable efficiency of 91db (2.83 volts/meter)- I powered these with 20 tube watts per channel and always enough volume (they recommend between 20-300 watts of amp power). Ive owned them about 10 years but Im moving to a smaller space and no longer have the room. Comes with PSUs, manual, and some basic speaker cable if you need it. These currently sell new for $2800 per pair. They are functionally perfect and sound awesome. The matte black finish does have some scratches you can see up close, and general minor wear, Id say 7.5/10 for physical condition. A couple of the rubber stoppers from the feet are missing (they cover pointy feet, so a couple of the feet are pointy currently- Im sure theres better technical terms for this, sorry). Also, a couple of the decorative caps on the speaker clips are gone- you can see one speaker has black/red clips while the others are clear- this doesnt affect connectivity at all, just decorative. The amplifiers have gone bad. I spoke to martin logan you can get whole new amp supply for 245$ each. The panels are in good cosmetic condition. You can hear a low signal noise coming through them when the speakers are powered so I believe they are still good. The cabinets have minimal wear. Local pickup only unless you want to arrange your own shipping.
