Product Description. Friedmans founder, David Friedman himself, modified a 1982 JCM800 to create this rare modified Marshall. BE/HBE, FX LOOP, SATURATION, and THUMP/RESPONSE have been added to the JCM800, the royal body of modified Marshalls. The simple configuration with no channel switching allows you to experience direct sound pressure. The BE-100 and other amps currently available from Friedman are excellent amplifiers, but the JCM800 is based on a vintage amp from that era, and is incredibly realistic, from the feel to the tone. It is both rugged and rough, and glossy and rich in tone. It has depth from crunch to deep distortion, and you can feel the reason why the Friedman brand has gained so much recognition. The Tolex is not original, so the finish is sweet, but I liked it because of its great atmosphere. The middle knob is push-pull, but Dave eliminated the function when he modified it, so it is not functional now. It was made locally in the U.S., so it is 117V spec. I would use a step-up transformer, but if you are not in a particularly severe situation, you can use 100V. There are no accessories. Please note that the power cable is not included.
