This is a classic Proceed by Madrigal (Mark Levinson) audio/video preamp. It is in great shape overall and sounds fantastic. The display works perfectly, which is rare. Includes an aftermarket remote that replicates all of the original remotes functions (most of the navigation is done via on-screen display anyway). Cosmetically, the unit is very good. The front face is near-perfect. There are some VERY minor paint chips on the back top edge, and 1-2 minor scratches on the top. Otherwise, it is excellent cosmetically. This preamp is a bit dated for A/V use, as it has no HDMI inputs (composite RCA and S-video only). But for a vintage system, or as an audio-only preamp, it is amazing. As I mentioned, it has on on-screen display and is able to learn which inputs are active, greatly simplifying setup. Sold for $4200 in 1994 dollars (over $9000 today); get this one for a fraction of the price! Includes the preamp, power cable, remote and a printout of the owners manual.

I am selling a very high-end, used Mark Levinson No 25 Phono Preamplifier & PLS 226 with Umbilical cable The power supply PLS 226 has two ports to power two systems; usually No 25 phono and No 26 line preamplifier. The system works wonderfully. They are built to be enjoyed for generations. The system comes with the umbilical cable connecting between 226 and 25. Also included is the power cord. Physical condition is great. There are light wear and scratches due to use but nothing bad. Physically immaculate, but the right channel is intermittent. It also includes the optional phono stage. I’m the original owner, and have only used this in a smoke-free recording studio. The preamp comes with the two umbilical cables to connect the units, the A/C cord and the original metal remote control. It likely needs to be re-capped, and perhaps some op-amps or other components need replacement. It is the only preamp Levinson designated as “Reference”, and the sound and clarity are simply amazing. Please note that this preamp has two parts, and each will ship in its own box due to their weight, which is about 35 pounds each.
