The DH81 / 7B6 is the Loctal version of the 6Q7, one of the standard three American valves for domestic radio receivers of the time. They were used in many UK manufactured AC mains powered radio receivers using this Loctal series of valves. The DH81 forms the diode detector / AGC rectifier and first stage of audio amplification in such radios.
