This is a Marantz VP12S3/U1M video projector in good working order. This was a $17,000 top-of-the-line projector when it hit the scene in the early 2000s and put all the other models to shame. Today, at age 20, its still a solid projector, but is only 720p. It can project DVDs at full resolution, but a Blu-ray will be scaled down to 720p. It has RCA inputs (see photos) and does not support direct HDMI, but there are inexpensive adapters you can buy for $10-15 that will split your HDMI to RCA plugs. The unit does NOT have a remote control (the remote broke), but all the functions can still be accessed from the top, and remotes can be purchased inexpensively at a variety of on-line sites. This has the long-throw lens, which gives about a 110-inch diagonal image from about a 20-22 throw. I packed this up a year ago, but I have attached images of both color and b/w movies that I projected and took snapshots off the screen at the time I retired this. It still gives an excellent image. I paid $10K for this refurbished, and I just want to find a good home for it. If you are looking for a good starter projector, this is the model for you while you think about what $3-4K Epson you will eventually move up to.
