I remember being surprised a few years ago when I started to see eBay sellers offering EMPTY original audio shipping cartons. But I really kinda get it. Original owners manuals/advertising materials/ service manuals (and, yes, even packing materials) can transport a new owner of prized audio classics to a zone where he can feel some of what the original first owner must have felt. Pretty cool. In that spirit, and with an appreciation for the REAL WORLD USEFULNESS of having actual factory REPAIR documentation, I am offering a number of service manuals this month. Ive owned these manuals for years -- but they are low dollar items Im just getting around to now. Im a one man band and not getting any younger. And, I admit it, Ive created a pile of stuff that often proves to be heavier than I can lift. So, I get to things when I can get to them. Capice? Obviously, I cant provide volumes of detail for each $10-30 item. There arent that many hours in a day. And, I dont offer a return option on service manuals (for reasons which should be obvious). But everything Im listing is in SOLID condition or I dont list it all. There may be an occasional short handwritten notation by a technician (these manuals were generally distributed to the service departments of well known audio dealers and repair shops). But most of what Im listing will belie its true decades old age. Finally, I am only listing what Ive gone through thus far. (I have hundreds of pounds yet to go!) Marantz SR6000 DC Amplifier Receiver For sale, we have a very nice sounding Marantz SR6000 Receiver. The unit has been cleaned, fully tested, and is in good working order. The receiver has plenty of power, and a very good sounding phono section. All inputs and outputs have been tested, and all pots and switches have been cleaned and treated with Deoxit F5 and D5 respectively. The faceplate is in very good condition, with some light blemishes/scratches on the top edge. The cabinet is in good condition, with some wear and blemishes as follows: The top side has some cupping and is slightly concave towards the center of the shroud. Also, there is some light roller overspray on top, that looks to be house paint. The unit presents itself very well. See pictures for further details. We dont have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams. Marantz SR 6000! Tuner AM/FM Receiver Some bruises to wood cabinet I have cleaned the knobs and the face plate probably could use more. Tested FM and both speaker channels left and right each getting sound. Need antenna wire and the pots need cleaning or buttons pushed on more. Missing one knob. Presents nicely. Tested FM stereo channels only. Working. Real audio vintage full sound when dialed in. That said as is pictures are part of description. I own one and love it. Audiophiles and newbies!
