Im listing this Marantz SR6005 receiver as for parts or not working, and selling as-is with no returns - though it does seem to work, just with a history of a problem. I love this receiver, but a few years back it developed a tendency to shut off during use, even if there was no obvious overheating. So I replaced it, and since then its sat in its box in my storage space. But someone with more expertise might be able to fix it themselves, or know how to get it repaired for a low cost, so Im listing it here. To be clear, I dont know what the underlying problem(s) is/are and I cant promise there arent other issues - ones Id missed or new ones that developed with sitting in the box. But I did plug in a DVD/CD player via HDMI and listened through headphones and it sounded great. However, I have no idea if/when the receiver might start shutting down again, and Im unable to test all the many, many functions, so I dont know if you might come across any other problems. Cosmetically there are some scratches and scuffs, particularly on the back and side. The front looks pretty nice (see pictures). The left front knob needs re-gluing (it works, but can be pulled off/put back on). It comes with the original box, power cord and remote. Note: I plan to ship this just in the original box (shown), as it was shipped to me when brand new. Im only shipping to the lower 48 states, since this is quite heavy and going beyond that would make the costs just crazy.
