I hooked it up to a tuner but couldnt make it produce any sound from the speakers. All the various settings rotate through as per the video above. (The music you hear in the background of the video, is from another system, not the Marantz.) It could be that I just dont know what Im doing wrong, because I couldnt find a user manual online. Im listing this Marantz SR6005 receiver as for parts or not working, and selling as-is with no returns - though it does seem to work, just with a history of a problem. I love this receiver, but a few years back it developed a tendency to shut off during use, even if there was no obvious overheating. So I replaced it, and since then its sat in its box in my storage space. But someone with more expertise might be able to fix it themselves, or know how to get it repaired for a low cost, so Im listing it here. To be clear, I dont know what the underlying problem(s) is/are and I cant promise there arent other issues - older ones Id missed or new ones that developed with sitting. But I did just plug in a DVD/CD player via HDMI and listened through headphones and it sounded great. However, I have no idea if/when the receiver might start shutting down again, and Im unable to test all the many, many functions, so I dont know if you might come across any other problems. Cosmetically there are some scratches and scuffs, particularly on the back and side. The front looks pretty nice (see pictures). The left front knob needs re-gluing (it works, but can be pulled off/put back on). It comes with the original box, power cord and remote. Note: I plan to ship this just in the original box (shown), as it was shipped to me when brand new. Im only shipping to the lower 48 states, since this is quite heavy and going beyond that would make the costs just crazy. Ladies and Gentlemen, up for your bidding, is my used for repairs, Marantz SR6005. It comes with the remote and power cord. I hooked it up to a tuner but couldnt make it produce any sound from the speakers. All the various settings rotate through as per the video above. (The music you hear in the background of the video, is from another system, not the Marantz.) It could be that I just dont know what Im doing wrong, because I couldnt find a user manual online. Example: You pay $100 for an item. It costs $20 to ship it to you. Your local sales tax is 10%. $100+$20+$10 = $130 x 13.25% = $17.23 ---. My net then is $100 minus $17.23 which equals $82.77 not including picture fees, premotion fees, etc. (Of course, I have to find the product, pay for it, store it before eBay takes it cut) So, there you have low-down on eBay fees!!!!........... Fernbedienung (Laut/Leise Tasten ohne Funktion!), HDMI Kabel (ca. 3 Meter) Netzkabel original Bedienungsanleitung diverse andere Sprachen. Innen ebenfalls sehr sauber, siehe Bilder Optischer Zustand:Paar Gebrauchsspuren zu erkennen, siehe Bilder! Insgesamt sehr sauberes Gerät im Topzustand, mit paar sichtbaren Gebrauchspuren. Der hochwertige AV Receiver funktioniert und klingt einwandfrei! Test Fazit:Der Marantz SR6005 besticht mit überzeugender Stereovorstellung, sinnvollen Anschlüssen und verlockenden Features. Im listing this Marantz SR6005 receiver as for parts or not working, and selling as-is with no returns - though it does seem to work, just with a history of a problem. I love this receiver, but a few years back it developed a tendency to shut off during use, even if there was no obvious overheating. So I replaced it, and since then its sat in its box in my storage space. But someone with more expertise might be able to fix it themselves, or know how to get it repaired for a low cost, so Im listing it here. To be clear, I dont know what the underlying problem(s) is/are and I cant promise there arent other issues - older ones Id missed or new ones that developed with sitting. But I did just plug in a DVD/CD player via HDMI and listened through headphones and it sounded great. However, I have no idea if/when the receiver might start shutting down again, and Im unable to test all the many, many functions, so I dont know if you might come across any other problems. Cosmetically there are some scratches and scuffs, particularly on the back and side. The front looks pretty nice (see pictures). The left front knob needs re-gluing (it works, but can be pulled off/put back on). It comes with the original box, power cord and remote. Note: I plan to ship this just in the original box (shown), as it was shipped to me when brand new. Im only shipping to the lower 48 states, since this is quite heavy and going beyond that would make the costs just crazy.
