This came from a storage unit. I have a good friend of mine that works on these and he cleaned it up some and tested it. The marantz 2270 had the power switch replaced and the hi blend switch replaced, all controls were cleaned and lubricated, with deoxit d5 and deoxit f5, the unit was tested and fm and am works, the aux input was tested and works as well, the unit was cleaned inside and out and shows some age but sounds good, unit has some distortion on the left channel at higher volumes, its a good candidate for restoration and capacitor replacements. Please let me know if you would like a better picture of something. Led lights were replaced as well.

Hier sucht ein wunderschöner Klassiker aus dem Hause des Top-Herstellers Marantz einen neuen Liebhaber. Es handelt sich um das Modell 2270, der mit 2 x 70W RMS an 8 Ohm auch recht potent ist. Mit großem Gyrorad und der typischen blauen Beleuchtung (aktuell auch intakt). Der Receiver stammt aus den 70er Jahren und ist somit ein ca. 50 Jahre altes historisches Vintage Gerät. Der Receiver wurde mehrere Stunden getestet und zeigte keine Auffälligkeiten. Allerdings ist er weder werkstattgeprüft noch von uns überholt worden. Inwieweit das in der Vergangenheit evtl. geschehen ist, wissen wir nicht. Aufgrund des Alters bieten wir das Gerät daher als überholungsbedürftig an! Insgesamt macht das Gerät aber einen sehr guten Eindruck. Das Gerät wird bei Abholung selbstverständlich vorgeführt. Sollte es nicht gefallen, muß es natürlich nicht abgenommen werden. This product is a set of owners manuals for the Marantz 2270 Stereophonic Receiver and 3300 Stereo Control Console. The manuals are in the format of a physical book and provide instructions on how to operate and maintain the equipment. The manuals are compatible with Marantz models 2270 and 3300 and are intended for use with stereo systems. The product was manufactured in the United States and is in very good condition. There are a couple of small tears on one of the diagrams see pics for examples.

This 2270 Marantz has been in the top shelf of my closet for close to 10 years. I had plans to recap this and restore it although it seems to be in working order now with the original components. The volume is a bit crackly, but the pots probably need a good dose of DeOxit. I tested speakers A and B and both channels work on both sets of outputs. Used a small pair of bookshelf polk speakers for this. The bass mid and treble all do seem to work, loudness and other buttons seem to work fine as well. The only button that didnt seem to work was the muting button. The bulbs all seem good to, going through all the functions, the corresponding lights did light up. The tuner also runs smoothly through the whole dial when going back and forth for FM/AM tuning. So this unit should be all original as far as I know. The units display is more aqua green in person, but my camera shows it as more blue. This thing is a beast, probably close to 50 pounds so shipping will be expensive. If you live within 150 miles of 74953 I will gladly meet you to avoid having to ship this. Otherwise this will go FedEx. I should have enough packing materials to get it to you safely.
