You are bidding on an original production Marantz Model 7C preamplifier, flawlessly functioning and in excellent condition with only a few insignificant signs of wear. This unit has not been modified from its stock condition, nor mined for parts like so many of those you find on the market, and therefore is extremely rare in such condition. I purchased this unit a few years ago from a reputable vintage hifi dealer in the US, where it was checked and serviced. The preamp has been well cared for since, running in my system on a voltage transformer in a smoke free household. Those who are familiar with the Marantz 7 know that it is renowned for its special sound and unmatched musicality. The unit comes with its original wooden case and a full functioning set of Amperex Bugle Boy Tubes, the same tubes that were originally specified for the preamplifier by Saul Marantz.
