Es gilt als eins der robustesten und qualitativ hochwertigsten Marantz Tapedecks aller Zeiten. Sein Super HardPermalloy Tonkopf ist in den meisten Fällen sogar nach 46 Jahren noch einwandfrei in seiner Funktion. Für die Frontplatte wurdenoch eine gebürstete, mehrere Millimeter starke Aluminium Platte verwendet. Knöpfe wurden aus Aluminium gedreht. Die StahlAbdeckung wurde mit Kunststoff beschichtet und wirkt wie aus Leder gemacht. Heutzutage wäre so ein Gerät,wenn es überhauptangeboten würde im vierstelligen Bereich angesiedelt. Aus diesem Grund ist das Marantz 5000 nach so langer Zeit unter Kennernund Sammlern der Marke äuserst begehrt. Ich hatte das Glück für die Restaurierung dieses wunderschönen Vintage Tapedecks einsin einem absoluten Top Zustand zu haben. Es wurden keine Kosten und Zeit gescheut - um das Schätzchen bestmöglich zu reinigenund das von innen nach außen. Sämtliche Kontakte, Schalter und Poti wurden mit Teslanol - Oscilin T6 durchgespüllt. Ein neues Stromkabel wurde genauso eingebaut wie bei der Herstellung. Neue Adam Hall Füsse aus weichem Gummi wurden montiert. Diegesamte Mechanik mit Isopropanol entharzt und anschließend abgefettet. Alte Riemen Reste die sich in eine Teermasse verwandelthaben wurden natürlich restlos entfernt. Neue Qualitätsriemen, inklusive des schwer zugänglichen Zähler Riemens wurden aufgezogen. Der Klassiker wurde über mehrere Stunden getestet und sein Klang ist Marantz tüpisch warm und klar. In diesemZustand wird das Gerät verpackt und versichert verschickt.
