Manufactured from 1983-1986 Here is a pair of rarely seen in the states a perfect working pair of MARANTX LS-17 speakers boasting 15 woofers.. 28 X 18 X 12 inches dimensions. All drivers work flawlessly, the LED WATTAGE meters are on their fronts and both work great. The mid and high level adjustments on the fronts work as they should. These have an efficiency of 99DB @ 1 meter, meaning they can be driven by low power receiver or amps, even a small tube amp, and they are capable of window cracking levels, accepting up to 300 watts input. Trust me, Loud, and sound good. They arent mint, small chips mainly rear edge of cabinets, but sound and show fine. The bottoms have some light scratches, but they have felt adhesive pads on them. They arent bad. The receiver next to them is quite large. These are big speakers really designed for floor use.From my research Ive seen a few older listings from 700-1,300$ sold price. There is one pair of LS-15, the smaller 12 woofer model for $3,000 on Ebay right now. Maybe this series has increased in value? I honestly dont know.Please study the pics for condition. Seems the grills were recovered in a light blue material that looks good. One center brace has been replaced on one of the grills. Cant tell that has been done with them on. All pegs work well that hold the grills on, but face it, these do look impressive with the grills removed. They sound very good. I stated above you dont have to have an elaborate amp or receiver to reach volume levels if desired your neighbors will comment on. Ive had them hooked to a 55 wpc receiver here using very little power, and the original owner I got these from used a vintage 12wpc Pioneer SX-424 receiver, so not overdriven. Ill pack them separately in heavy duty moving boxes. Im experienced in shipping speakers, turntables, etc. Please ask any questions.
