Marantz EQ551Graphic Equalizer und Spectrum Analzyer zum Feintunen des Frequenzgangs. Mittels Rosa Rauschen kann der Frequenzgang mit einem externen Mikrofon (nicht im Lieferumfang) eingemessen werden. Allein optisch ist das Gerät ein Hingucker, wenn man die Musik nicht nur hören, sondern die Frequenzen auch optisch wahrnehmen kann. Auf der Rückseite hat das Gerät Chinch-Ein- und -Ausgänge. Wahlweise kann ein Pre-Out-Anschluss des Verstärkers genutzt werden um das Signal abzugreifen. Alternativ kann ein Tape-Anschluss genutzt werden, dann muss der Verstärker dementsprechend eingestellt sein. Der Equalizer ist für klassische Stereo-Anlagen gedacht. (Heutzutage würde man 2.0-System sagen). Ab Surround-Systemen wie 5.1 oder neuer wäre ein Betrieb des Gerätes nicht mehr so einfach machbar (evtl. nur für eine Stereo-Quelle) Privatverkauf ohne Garantie/Gewährleistung oder Rücknahme
