Marantz DV6001 Super Audio DVD/CD Player No Remote Stuck Drive Opening Power On. Tested and working great, other than an issue with the drawer not opening and closing. The DVD drawer will not open without help from an opening at the bottom of the dvd player, using a screwdriver. Once a DVD is put in, it works perfectly. Unfortunately, the DVD does not get released when you click the open button. You need to release it from a switch on the bottom of the unit. I will make a video to show the issue if requested. Please don’t buy this unit, and then say “hey, the drawer doesn’t open when I push the button.” Being sold, as is, for potential repair, or use as it is.

For sale here is a Marantz model VC6001 CD / DVD-A / DVD-V / SACD 5-disc carousel changer. About the only thing it doesnt do is Blu-Rays, because it pre-dates the format. It has a full complement of video outputs (RCA, S-video, component, and HDMI) and a full set of surround sound RCA outputs, which is fairly rare. It also has dedicated stereo outputs. The unit is cosmetically perfect (see photos). The issue with it is that the tray doesnt fully retract into the unit on its own. This means that you cant just hit play and let it rip. While youre at the machine, having loaded it, you need to just give it a LIGHT push with the back of your hand, and in it goes. It opens up just fine. See video that accompanies photos. Hello! This DVD player powers up, however I cannot get the disk door to slide open. Therefore I cannot confirm if the laser still reads. Might be a simple fix, I really dont know and dont want to risk opening it up as Im not experienced. Original seller said it was in working order just a few years ago. Selling as not working for this reason. Also will use the original box as the shipping box. Just a disclaimer. The player is very secure in the box, but I will not be double boxing it. There is tape on the original box.
