This listing is for a Marantz DC-2484 SG CD Player. The original manual and other paperwork, box and remote are included. The unit uses a 6-disc CD cartridge that discs are loaded into before placing into the unit for play. The unit was tested and is mostly working - but is offered for parts or repair as all functions may not have been tested. A short video is included showing basic operation. It has been in use for several months with one issue: If a CD is loaded in the top tray (Disc 1) it will sometimes cause the eject function to fail. When this happens, the top cover has to be removed and the sliding tray given a very slight nudge and it will eject. IF NO DISC IS INSERTED INTO THE TOP TRAY THE UNIT HAS WORKED FLAWLESSLY. It may be a simple fix/lubrication fix. Its possible that the issue is with the cartridge - but I didnt have another to test. These are identical to the cartridges used in many Pioneer CD players which were designed to allow users to load 6 disc and carry their music between home and auto (are often available on eBay). This unit was offered as a Special Edition in honor of their 35th anniversary and is best described as the champagne-silver used on many units that year. The original box and foam insert are included. The unit will be placed in the original packaging and placed in a larger outer box for shipping. Please see last picture - it shows a screw which is inserted to secure the internal mechanism in shipping and must be removed before use. This listing describes the item to the best of our ability. Up for sale is a Marantz DC 2484 six disc CD player. We have thoroughly tested this unit and it is working as designed. This units changer, ejector, and laser transport mechanisms have been cleaned and lubricated where needed. The laser has been gently cleaned. The face of this player is in very good condition with a few light scuffs present from use. The outer case is very clean with a couple of discolored areas where another piece of equipment sat on top. One original Marantz CD cartridge is included. No manuals, additional cartridge, interconnects, original carton, or original packing materials are included in this sale.
