Marantz 4230 Stereo 2 + Quadradial 4 Receiver Service Manual. ORIGINAL. (38 pages plus pullout schematics.) NOTE: The 4230 is the stereo/quad version of the famous Marantz 2230. I remember being surprised a few years ago when I started to see eBay sellers offering EMPTY original audio shipping cartons. But I really kinda get it. Original owners manuals/advertising materials/ service manuals (and, yes, even packing materials) can transport the new owner of prized audio classics to a zone where he can feel some of what the original first owner must have felt. Pretty cool. In that spirit, and with an appreciation for the REAL WORLD USEFULNESS of having actual factory REPAIR documentation, I am offering a number of service manuals this month. Ive owned these manuals for years -- but they are low dollar items Im just getting around to now. Im a one man band and not getting any younger. And, I admit it, Ive created a pile of stuff that often proves to be heavier than I can lift. So, I get to things when I can get to them. Capice? Obviously, I cant provide volumes of detail for each $10-30 item. There arent that many hours in a day. And, I dont offer a return option on service manuals (for reasons which should be obvious). But everything Im listing is in SOLID condition or I dont list it all. There may be an occasional short handwritten notation by a technician (these manuals generally distributed to the service departments of well known audio dealers and repair shops). But most of what Im listing will belie its true decades old age. Finally, I am only listing what Ive gone through thus far. (I have hundreds of pounds yet to go!) These were both very active repair shops in their day and the manuals got used! We will try to point out any flaws we spot other than ones visible in the pictures. There is often writing in the manuals but generally it is helpful service information to help fix a quirky problem a technician encountered while working on the unit. When it says service notes on back page or see bulletins on the front cover it doesnt necessarily mean they are in this manual! Often the bulletins were kept elsewhere in the shop.
