I am the original owner of this unit. Ive used it very seldom, because I never bought a line stage preamp to go with it. I learned instead to repair and rebuild the vintage tube audio equipment I already had! However, I consider this Manley preamp to be the equal of my best vintage stuff, and that is saying a lot. I believe this to be a great add-on for those who want to go with more modern (but traditional sounding) builds. The unit is in very fine condition, and sounds just great. I put 4 NOS (new out of the box) tubes in it: 2 USA GE 12AT7s, and 2 late issue Mullard 12AX7s, labeled RCA. So, the unit should be good for a long time: very high quality parts and little use. There is no manual, apparently one was never printed. I called Manley Laboratories and asked!
