I have been making these for 6 months now. Sold over 10. Initially I sold for $45 then $50. Now minimum of $60. Only reason I can sell so cheap is because I get lumber for free. I only use red oak, white oak, maple, cherry or birch. Most are oak. I have enough lumber to complete maybe 15 more then I’m done. I’ve gotten much better at it. No more gaps and everything is flush. I am now offering stained and painted versions for $20-30 more. At a bare minimum I sand each piece (all 4 stands with 80 grit, then 120 grit then 180 grit sandpaper. The painted ones or stained get multiple coats with sanding in between. Each set takes me a minimum of 2 hours. See last pic for dimensions. The length can and will vary but mostly 23 inches long. I do this because most shipping boxes become a nuisance when I exceed 24 inches in any direction. The stand itself raises the bottom of each speaker a minimum of 11 inches off the ground. It obviously raises the top as well. I can make these for any magnepan speaker. I’ve found the only difference…so far is the mounting holes are either 2 inches or 3 inches apart. The smaller speakers such as MMG is 2 inches apart too to bottom on center . The larger speakers are all 3 inches apart. It takes my MMGs top from 48 inches tall to 59 inches tall. I will have some available for as low as $50 because I wasn’t satisfied with them cosmetically. They still function 100% . I firmly believe you could hang 100lbs speakers on these stands. I have set a 15 day handling time on this because it is simply just a side gig that is barely worth it. Sometimes I have some that are ready to go and other times I gotta do some work.

You are looking at a pair of working Magneplanar speakers. I have been using them for several days. They are really great to listen to. They are 48” tall by almost 15” wide. If you are not familiar with these I would recommend a google search. There is a placement ratio for how close to the wall they should be. There are also reviews. I would prefer a local pickup but will ship. The black fabric does not have any tears or holes. There is some dust on them. One of the nameplates has a piece of tape. The screw that tightens the speaker wire coming uses an Allen wrench. It is taped to the nameplate. If you have a cat I heard there is a protector for the fabric. The pictures should show details and condition. F

For sale are a pair of Magnepan MMG speakers, one working, one not working. One speaker, the speaker with three buttons, the tweeter on the left, labeled R in the photos, looks and sounds great. I removed the grill cloth to examine it but I see no damage to it whatsoever, and can hear no deterioration of the sound.I did not replace the grill cloth because over the years it looks shabby and needs to be replaced. Ive been wanting to replace the grill cloth for years but didnt because I knew that the thin black stiles that hold it in place would most likely break on removal. Sure enough, two out of the fours stiles did break. The other speaker, the one with a single button, the tweeter on the right, labeled L in the photos, the tweeter went out. There is no sound out of the tweeter, there is only sound out of the midrange panel. After removing the grill cloth I could not find the source of the problem. While he tweeter does not appear damaged, it shows no electrical continuity across its input terminals. On visual inspection I can see some damage to the midrange panel. There are a few spots where there are 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch tears in the mylar. I believe this speaker to be a parts unit. I am selling these speakers hoping that there is someone who needs a single speaker, either as a replacement or as a center channel. Regardless, one would have to replace the original grill cloth cover. I believe that these can be sourced from Magnepan. One would need a staple gun to attach the grill cloth to the speaker frame and a brad nailer to re-attach the stiles.
