For sale a high quality LUXMAN model PD-121 direct drive turntable in good working order. This model has separate speed control for each speed. The strobe light recently stopped to work and needs to be replaced (very often happens with this model), but the speeds were checked and work properly. Pictured Micro Seiki tonearm is NOT INCLUDED in this sale. The price was set accordingly. This model has a direct drive 20-pole 60-slot brushless DC servo motor. The platter is a cast aluminum and really heavy. The PD121 is designed to be as heavy as possible while taking into consideration not only the required inertial mass but also the resonance and strength of the motor bearings and parts. A bayonet mount type arm base is adopted for the arm base, and it is designed so that various arms can be replaced with one touch. The chassis uses an aluminum die-cast chassis of sufficient strength and weight, and the top panel uses a 3 mm anodized aluminum panel, which is held firmly in place with rubber and wooden frames for damping. A 3-layer structure insulator is used for the leg part. In this insulator, the spring is dumped with rubber and the entire body is dumped with silicon grease to achieve both the compliance and braking necessary for vibration isolation. 4 mm thick heavyweight acrylic is used for the acrylic cover. For the turntable sheet, we have adopted a material equivalent to the chamois leather with good adhesion. LUXMAN PD 121 U with Fidelity Research FR54 Tonearm (with original phono cable) and Denon DL110 high output moving coil cartridge. The PD121 used the same motor as the Technics SP10 MKI. Its very stable. See the pic I took of the stability reading from my iPhone. This turntable is from Japan. I used it with a 100v to 120v transformer. The transformer is included in the sale. Look at the size of the platter. Its a heavyweight. That one reason the speed is so stable. Speed adjusts for 33 and 45 under front of plinth. I love the FR54 arm. This is in very good condition, with a few small nicks near the arm rest. Its flexible, but generally on the heavier side. The Denon DL110 is a classic. Very low hours.
