This unit has worked flawlessly and silently for me since day one. Gain setting switches are currently set for medium to low impedance headphones like 300 oHm Sennheiser or 600 oHm Beyerdynamic Headphones. You can change double row of Gain switches inside the unit for low, medium, or high ohm impedance headphones phones if desired. Input Jack is for 1/4” Stereo phone plug. RCA stereo inputs and RCA output pairs on the rear of the unit along with a solid on/off rocker switch. Just downsizing and have already sold my other stereo vacuum tube amps.
