Linn Karik/Numerik CD Transport and D/A converter. The Karik needs repair, it may need a power supply. There were two different versions of power supplies used in the Karik - the original round Brilliant switch mode supply and the later rectangular Slimline Brilliant switch mode power supply. Some of our other previously manufactured products used the same round and or Slimline power supplies, such as models of the Kairn, Kremlin, Wakonda and Numerik during this production period. It is possible that a Linn retailer may have a damaged product that the power supply can be salvaged from, however, it is best that a Linn retailer inspects your Karik to confirm if indeed the power supply is causing the issue. Genexxa Pro LX-5 Linneaum Speakers , With Upgraded AE Bass Units .. These are rare speakers using special Linneaum Tweeters which were normally previously only used on high end speakers £1000 upwards. This ribbon tweeters have an incredible soundstage and smooth clean sound. These are free from dust and dirt which many suffer from being not used. The weakness on these Genexxa’s was the cheap base units. I have upgraded these to more expensive Acoustic Energy bass/mid units which dramatically improved the bass and mid sound. Due to the new bass units the covers didn’t fit so got rid of them . However they look good and sound better without them There are some minor marks and scratches, and a very small dent in one of the wire tweeter covers which is hardly noticeable. I have tried to show all these in the photos. As they are small don’t expect huge bass but I had them paired with a subwoofer and they sound great. Can demo when collecting in person.
