Happy vintage Linn/Naim system owner here. Im very happy with pair of Kan MK1 with Hiquphon tweeter, curious of what Scanspeak tweeter would sound like and bought this very early pair (S/N 35xx). Sadly one of them arrived with defect (see the crack in the last photo), so working not as expected, and my hometown is apparently lack of speakers restoring experts to help, repairing fee+shipping fee to experts just too much for me to afford. I hope to let go of this pair to whom have a big love of Kan MK1 with minimal price, especially those who love the original Kan, with some easiest repairing (rest of parts are all intact) they sing just great. I will stay with my Hiquphon Kan at the moment. Would be well packed and ready to ship from Hong Kong to worldwide. I list a rough shipping cost but please if you are interested please let me know your location and Ill provide a precise shipping cost.

Up for sale is a Linn / Hiquphon 3/4 soft dome tweeter in good working order that was pulled from a Linn Nexus LS 250 speaker during a tweeter refresh. These are fantastic tweeters that are a challenge to find. Works great, with some scuffing on the mounting plate but zero damage to the dome or magnet. This is most similar to the current production OW 2-92 from Hiquphon. Thanks for looking and let me know if you have any questions!

This is part of a $27,000 system. Here is what Stereophile says bout it: I could go on raving about the sonic performance of the Linn AV 51 system. It does everything better than any other home-theater system Ive reviewed. Given how much it costs, it damn well better. The speaker looks and basically plays pretty good too, but please be warned that I believe that the tweeter is in need of replacement. The tweeter appears to play too softly and looks damaged to me. This also needs a crossover becuse Linn drives these with active amplification that is already crossed over to eliminate the bass from the tweeter.
