This is a record player that came as a big surprise to music lovers around the world in 1972. Built-in high-grade stabilized power supply VALHALLA, it is dedicated to 33 rotations common to 50/60Hz. The tone arm is set up with SME 3009 S2 improved. It has great expressive power and produces a delicate and smooth sound quality. ?Condition Each part has been polished/cleaned. Polish the platter and metal parts until they are as clean as possible to remove dirt and rust. This product comes with a new dust cover. The dust cover shown in the top image is a new dust cover with a new hinge attached to it. Upon delivery, we will reapply the protective sticker and carefully package the product. To safely deliver both the product and the dust cover, it will be shipped in two parcels. ?Dust cover - This is a new item. ?Button part/Platter There are no scratches on the button part. ?The platter is also glossy with some dullness. ?Cabinet - The cabinet is in good condition with no noticeable scratches on the wood. ?The top plate is glossy with no damage such as scratches. ?There are no cracks or breaks on the bottom plate. ?Tonearm The arm is shiny and beautiful. It is in absolutely beautiful condition. Up for sale is a beautiful Strathclyde STD 305M turntable with SME 3009 tonearm and Audio Technica AT-105 MM pick-up, great condition, no major marks or scratches, the plinth is beautiful with surfaces all scratch free. Also lid is scratch free, nice condition, some minor scuffs, but considering age it its great. The turntable comes with factory felt mat, the Audio Technica MM pick-up has a fresh 0 km factory stylus in it. There is a nice record weight/puck as a gift, this improves soundstaging and focus a lot.The player plays great, please check youtube video for details.The arm base is missing 1 screw, this is how I got it many many years ago and it does not affect functionality or sound quality, so I never bothered really.Please note that the Shure MM cartridge is not part of the sales that was on pictures looong ago, since I installed the Audio Technica, a great entry level MM cartridge! Vintage LINN SONDEK LP 12 Transcription Turntable with SME 3009 tone armThere are some issues:The Tone arm has no headshell, it is also missing the small counterweightthat is used for anti-skating.The wood plynth has several dings in it. there are scratches and discolorationsin the base plate.It has a brand new belt.The hole for the tone arm mounting is quite large so one could easily refit this with a 16 transcription arm. (or any other arm for that matter) We tested this with a Ortofon Concorde DJ cartridge and it seemed to work perfectlyfine but it is being sold AS IS, so please ask any questions before bidding Belongs to JDS
