up for sale, a vintage Linn LK1 I purchased it to try it out as a phono preamp. I used it for several years around 2020ish. Its been sitting for 3-4 more years. As I was using it. it worked fine. The buttons and lights all seem to work. I did not fully test it out, but if there is some quirk I missed well correct this for you immediately. Take a close look at the pictures. The top has some paint missing. There are dings along the top of the face above the buttons. Ill bet i did the black sharpie thing back when I was using it. ...so look over the photos well... If you are not familiar with this amp, please do some research. I dont know what they were smoking when they came up with the output jacks, but, those 3 pin connectors are not what they seem to be. Those are NOT balanced connections. Linn must have whacked out on some mollies when they came up with this idea: those connectors take proprietary linn cables, and the pinouts are shown on the back of the unit. Digest those pictures and ensure you got what you need to use this thing. I have another auction with a Linn cable. It has the 3-pin thing on one side and RCA on the other - THAT is the type of thing that hooks up to this preamp. Sometimes. I didnt include it in this auction because the signal arrows are pointing the wrong way for normal use - like it matters, it kinda doesnt matter but many folks will say the cable wont be optimized for use in this direction.
