Linn Knekt Multi Room HiFi. This was part of a multi room system installed in my previous house and was removed 2 years ago. It all powers up still but been sat unused since moving. Consists of Linn Kivor Index archive believe it has 4 hard drives fitted noisy fan. Linn Kivor Linnk Linn Intersekt R8S8 Room amps x 4 Linn Knekt RCU control pads x5 Some cables as per pictures Some linn knekt cables Power cables It was synced and programmed to work together by The Sound Gallery in High Wycombe. Running 5 kivor outputs and 1 auxiliary output which i streamed from a PC Main room was a Unidisc SC which is not included as it failed. Linn Kivor Linnk This unit is part of Linns fantastic Multiroom Audio System Knekt. This connects to a Kivor music storage system and allows the track details to be displayed on the RCU’s fitted in the rooms. This was part of a bigger system I had. It was working when I removed it, so there’s no reason it’s not working now. Low starting price, as I need to make space at home.. Here’s the information from the product sheet. The Knekt Kivor is a pitch accurate concurrent archival and retrieval system capable of storing and accessing thousands of full bandwidth uncompressed CDs and radio broadcasts. This expandable new technology product complements all aspects of other Linn Knekt multi-zone and Linn music and cinema components eliminating the quality problems associated with conventional CD changers or hard disc storage systems. The KIVOR Linnk handles up to sixteen Knekt remote in/out connections and converts the Knekt communications protocol to/from RS232 to allow a Knekt System to communicate with the KIVOR Tunboks. The KIVOR Linnk has been developed to allow easy upgrade of any Intersekt based Knekt system. The KIVOR Linnk handles all the communication between the Knekt System and the KIVOR Tunboks and contains the ‘personality’ of the Knekt RCUs when operating the Kivor System. With the KIVOR Linnk installed, the operation of The Knekt Kivor System is very simple through a Knekt RCU, giving up to sixteen users almost instantaneous and independent access to any track, disc or playlist whilst feeding back real-time information on album name, track title, artist name, etc.
