This is an opportunity to purchase a Linn Basic Plus tonearm in very excellent condition with smooth bearings but has the typical headshell and pillar markings from adjustment use. This arm is a significant upgrade, offering lower mass, solid imaging with better bass performance and none of the “tizziness” present in the original “S” shaped Linn Basic LV arm. Is supplied with a tonearm cable, plinth mounting screws as well as a set-up manual . Additionally, a unique magnetic pickup device is included. This unit uses two high powered magnets that attract when they are in close proximity thus picking the arm off the record. The small collar is placed on the arm and the tower is installed with double-sided tape on the table near the place where the arm travel reaches the end of the record. It is a really slick addition and when properly adjusted the arm just lifts off the record. It is immdiately ready for the next record, “reset” springs is not required.
