This cartridge sounds wonderful and at less than the price of Linns current bottom of the line MM cartridge (Adikt) which sounds great but this was Linns top of the line when it came out. Just a sweet cartridge! This moving coil cartridge is in good condition for its age, it was manufactured in 1999. It has been fully refurbished by the Expert Stylus Company, receiving a vertical & horizontal suspension adjustment and re-tipped diamond stylus. It is a low output cartridge (0.4mV) and the serial number is 2975. The original retail price was £1,200. We do not have the original packaging but have provided a smart leather box in its place! I bought this cartridge new sometime in the mid-1990s. It was working and sounding fine up until I replaced it in March 2024. I dont know exactly how many hours are on it, but I would be amazed if there are 500 hours on it. Very limited use. My dealer thought it was working fine but did not want to take it in on trade due to its age. He removed it from the arm it was originally installed on and packaged it as shown in the pictures. Original box and packing included. When I bought it, it was Linns top spec cartridge made for them by Lyra Analog in Japan. I enjoyed owning it but replaced it with an Ekstatik model costing $7245.00. Is the Ekstatik better? Yes, but not as much as you would expect. Any questions, just ask.

The LP12 has been fully serviced by Krescendo HiFi. This includes a full strip down, the three suspension bolts have been checked for exact vertical hanging using the Linn tool specifically for the purpose, the suspension grommets and springs have all been replaced with brand new ones from Linn, the suspension has been carefully set to the correct pistonic bounce, the tonearm has been fitted with the correct geometry using the Linn Kinky alignment tool, the turntable rotation speed has been precisely set to 33.3 rpm using a laser revolution counter and the lid has been polished although a few very small marks remain. The LP12 has been fitted with the awesome Linn Ekos MKII tonearm. This has been fitted with the stunning Linn Arkiv moving coil cartridge. The LP12 benefits from the external Linn Lingo power supply which provides a rock steady 33rpm and 45rpm at a touch of a switch from a quartz locked power supply. The Lingo is a significant sonic upgrade from the Valhalla or Majik power supply. The LP12 is in stunning condition with only slight marks to the lid, one small mark to the plinth and some very slight marks to the Lingo case. None of which really detract from the appearance. The deck will be all set for playing music and will only require basic putting back together from the box. We will provide full instructions how to do this and will provide full support. The LP12 comes in a Linn turntable double box with all the internal fittings to ensure safe transport.
