The LTA ZOTL 10 Mk.II amplifier is an output transformer-less (OTL) amplifier using patented David Berning technology. It runs tubes in a unique way, thus consumes very little power, gives off very little heat and the tubes last a very long time. There are quite a few reviews of this particular amp in the web, as well as reviews of its integrated sibling the Z10, for one to get familiarised with what this amp is all about, a.k.a an amp with solid state like deep fast bass, holographic mid-range and clear dynamic highs, with zero noise to boot. I have bought mine from the authorised European dealer, which at the time was located in Denmark, in December of 2020. It was the latest version with the upgraded resistor ladder remotely controlled stepped attenuator which adds substantially to the overall transparent character of this amp. The tube compliment is: 2 x 12AT7/ECC81, 2 x 12AU7/ECC82 & 4 x EL84. Mind you the tubes will last for a very long time in this amp (almost forever...). The tubes included are all NOS tubes, some of the best around and nearly unobtanium today: 4 x Telam EL84s (extremely robust output tubes with extended frequency response) and 4 x E180CC/7062 (Made in Holland - two are branded Telefunken and two Mullard) which lift the amp to heights unknown as compared to regular tubes. The use of 7062 tubes is described thoroughly in the amps user guide. The amp also comes with eight (8) Iso-Acoustics Iso-pucks (4 for under the amp and 4 for under the power supply) instead of the generic (throwaway) feet. The outboard power supply which houses the transformer is wired for European voltage but can easily be changed, should one requires so. The screw on the back of the power supply box seems to have shifted a bit during transport of the amp to me originally, but this is just cosmetic. The original power supply cord (to connect the power supply to the amplifier) as well as an Apple remote, to control the volume, are also included. The amp will ship in its original box. Selling one of my favorite pieces of gear. Ive owned these on 3 separate occasions. This MZ2 was purchased brand new from LTA when it was announced that they were discontinuing this model. I had a second set of pre-outs added instead of the speaker outs because I wanted to use it as a preamp with sub outs. It makes a wonderful preamp at this price and its a fantastic headlamp too. I bought the LPS+ also from LTA separately, but it was used. Theres some marks on its top that obviously done impact its performance. The MZ2 is in mint condition. Comes with stock 12sn7s and New production Telefunkens, I cant find the stock 12AT7 tubes. This unit does not have the remote option

Linear Tube Audio MicroZOTL MZ2 headphone amp designed by legendary engineer David Berning. Comes with upgraded LPS power supply for added depth of soundstage and silent background. Unit features upgraded Tung-Sol 6sn7GTB and Tung-Sol 12AT7 6201 tube compliment; a nice step up in Sonic’s from stock Chinese tubes. Amp works perfectly… a few superficial marks on the face. The plexiglass top is near flawless showcasing the intricacies of the design. Cosmetics: 8.5/10, Functionality: 10/10. My favorite thing about this unit is its versatility in that it has two speaker jacks, allowing it to serve as a low wattage power amp (1 wpc). I have used this to drive my vintage Klipsch Forte 2s with stunning results. Filled my entire home with lush, tubey goodness…tremendous instrument separation. Ultimately what sets this amp apart is the DEAD-SILENT background. It’s just non-existent; that’s the transformer-less technology for ya…a stunning achievement and why this design received the reviews it did. I was using this MZ2 in my office as a headphone amp while also driving a pair of ADS L300C (88 db?, hardly high-efficiency) and it still could drive you out of the room. This eBay listing is for ONE Cary Audio CAD-808 Rocket 88 Tube Amplifier. Used and in excellent working and cosmetic condition. I bought this brand new from Cary in 2003 and it until now has been in storage for the past 10 years. The only blemish I can find is a super small spot of discoloration on the Cary label which is on the power transformer. This amp puts out 20 watts per channel in Triode mode / 40 watts per channel in Ultralinear. I sent it to Cary in 2005 and had it upgraded to utilize the 12BZ7 tubes instead of the 6922 tubes. You can use both 12BZ7s or 12AX7s if youd like... The BZs sound best though. Comes with 2x Electro-Harmonix EL84 tubes, 2x RCA 12BZ7 tubes and 4x Ruby KT88 tubes. As for the output tubes....You can use the EL-34, 6L6, 6550, KT-66, KT-77, KT-88 or KT-90 flavors. The two 1629 Green Eye tubes on the front plate are mesmerizing to watch, They display the power output. The 12BZ7s come with silicone dampers installed. I am going to drop this amp off at Mojotronix for a once-over where it will get a thorough check-up (Pots, Jacks, Contacts, Tube sockets cleaned, Caps checked, Tubes checked, Confirm all components working at spec, Bias the output tubes). I am having this service performed because the amp has sat idle for the past decade AND I want to assure the next owner years of trouble free operation.
