Great sounding and gently used speakers from a smoke free environment. This is a pair of RCA bookshelf speakers with model number 40-5007. The speakers feature Linaeum tweeters and have a black metal enclosure . I replaced the original woofers because the surround was brittle and falling apart. The new woofers give the speakers a little bit more low end and sound very clear. One of the speaker grills is missing the RCA logo as seen on the pictures. I included the before and after so you can see the difference in woofers. Thanks for bidding.

This pair of vintage speakers have been so great! They're in very good condition - they work exactly as they should. There are cosmetic flaws / signs of age and use - please see photos of some scratching on exterior. Great pair of high quality speakers that are sure to last!

Listing under parts or repair because i have not done any testing in these. I don’t have an amplifier to use these with. I’ve sold many untested electronics on here & every buyer has been happy so far. Was planning on testing these and buying an amplifier - but just haven’t gotten to it yet and would rather sell as is to someone to take the chance on them and/or has the time to repair them - if they have an issue. So - selling as is for parts or repair - but have done zero testing on them so they may very well work fine. Have some dust, some scratches & writing here and there. unsure if these have been refoamed. Pricing these at a big discount from market value - to account for the risk & cosmetic imperfections. These weigh about 7-8 pounds each if that helps you at all.

Hello I have up for auction OPTIMUS PRO LX5 BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS #40-4061 W LINAEUM TWEETERS USED TESTED. These are a pair of used speakers from my Dad’s vintage audio collection. I did hook them up to my garage stereo system and they worked just fine. The one speaker however is torn and the foam cone on the other speaker is very fragile so I would assume they will both need replaced but they do both work even though the speaker is torn. Otherwise there is nothing broken physically on these speakers. The metal cabinets do not have any dents or rust but there are some scuffs and scratches down to the metal. They could be spot painted or repainted all together or keep them as they are. Other than the scratches nothing is wrong looking at the outsides of the speakers. Neither of the grilles are damaged either and are in great condition. Nice set to restore and use for any home stereo. Please look at the photos for more details about the speakers. Please make sure that you ask all questions and look at all photos before placing a bid. The items that you see pictured above are the EXACT. Item that you will receive.
