Hello I have up for auction OPTIMUS PRO LX5 BOOKSHELF SPEAKERS #40-4061 W LINAEUM TWEETERS USED TESTED. These are a pair of used speakers from my Dad’s vintage audio collection. I did hook them up to my garage stereo system and they worked just fine. The one speaker however is torn and the foam cone on the other speaker is very fragile so I would assume they will both need replaced but they do both work even though the speaker is torn. Otherwise there is nothing broken physically on these speakers. The metal cabinets do not have any dents or rust but there are some scuffs and scratches down to the metal. They could be spot painted or repainted all together or keep them as they are. Other than the scratches nothing is wrong looking at the outsides of the speakers. Neither of the grilles are damaged either and are in great condition. Nice set to restore and use for any home stereo. Please look at the photos for more details about the speakers. These have been in my arsenal for a while now and need a new loving home. They still sound great! Some paint chipping on the top grilles, unfortunately. I believe they were re-coned prior to me buying them, but has help perfectly for about the 10 years I’ve owned them. They do weigh around 12.5 lbs together, which will explain the shipping price.
