The assembly can be based on different PCB numbers as well; those are usually printed on the PCB and start with EAX prefix. One PCB is often used in assemblies for different models and different sizes, which are sometimes incompatible. For that reason, EAX numbers should not be used for cross-reference when choosing the board. The EBR and EBT numbers, on the other hand, are hardly ever unique, i.e. as said above often times there will be many such numbers that are interchangeable.
