This item was gifted to me by a relative as it was no longer working after many years of use and they wanted me to try to repair it. It does not power on and the repair methods I saw online seemed too complex for me. No guarantees that repairs will make it work again but there is a chance! Replacing this was something I am not comfortable with, but if you are, feel free to purchase as it is a great device when working. Only the device will be included in the sale. Message me with any questions or offers you have.

Received this item from a relative as they no longer had a need for it. Realized I do not need it as well and really have no way to test it other than plugging into power. Boots to standby mode (red light on power) but have no way to test its actual capabilities. Comes as is, buy if you know what you are buying. Comes with just the amp and the normal 125V power cord. I will try my best to answer any questions so feel free to reach out! My loss is your gain!

  • Description

The Lexicon NT 212 Power Amplifier is made by Bryston in Canada and is the same as their 3B ST. This is a stereo amp, with each channel rated at 120 watts @ 8 Ohms and 200 watts @ 4 Ohms. Each channel has both RCA and balanced connections with a switch to determine which input you wish to use. The amplifier is THX certified. All channels tested & sounding great. One rear fin is slightly bent. All surfaces are in excellent condition. Please note that this amp will mildly cough for a while (up to 90 seconds) through the speakers after it is turned off. I have spoken to Bryston about this, and was assured that this was common in this series of Bryston amps, that I was just hearing the caps discharge, and there was no electronic problem or threat to speakers. This is the exact same amp as a Bryston 3B ST, just rebranded by Lexicon. It is truly an incredible sounding amp. If youre looking for a Bryston on the cheap, look no further. Includes power cord.

  • Description

This is my second refurbished Lexicon MC-8 VER. 2 (Mic Board) that Im using as a spare part machine due to a bad power supply. I was going to order an new one but never got around to it. Doubt I ever will at this point. So I was keeping it with my other MC8 Ver. 2 that has a new power supply just in case I needed parts. Since I have an MC12 & MC12HD, I hardly use the MC8 even though I like the MC8s 5.1 switching which the MC12 doesnt have. So I have decided to part with it. Im thinking someone is interested in it as an MC8 ver. 2 upgrade but its a whole lot more than that. What it has1) Battery modification with new battery (See Photo). I removed the old battery and added a battery socket and installed a new battery.2) New Display. I found a source for the original displays and I bought them all. I replaced all the displays in my Lexicons. I sold off the old displays here on eBay for $50 each awhile back.3) Has the latest and greatest firmware on the firmware board thats next to the battery(See photo). Ill include all the Docs and firmware upgrades for the MC8 on a CD. 4) Has the RARE Ver. 2 Mic Board installed (See Photos). You just cant find them on eBay anymore! Thats one of the reasons I was keeping this unit. What it doesnt have1) Remote. Im keeping that as Im selling this as a Ver 2 Upgrade. Needed for setup. 2) Feet and Ears. I dont have the feet for this unit as it was rack mounted at one time. Also dont have the ears.3) Bottom cover plate for Balanced option. This unit originally came with the balanced option but I sold that upgrade off awhile back.4) Docs & Box. Im keeping the manual and box for my other unit.5) Working power supply. The one pictured comes with unit but do not use. I wanted to replace caps but these things are very difficult to work on. Its better to get a new one anyway. So power supply does not work. If youre looking for a refurbish MC-8 that will be like new then you will have to order a new power supply and remote. If youre looking for an MC8 upgrade for your MC8 Ver 1 then all you need to do is install the Mic board and firmware board into yours. I personally would just put in the power supply from your unit into this one as you get a new battery and display with this one. Then you can sell off yours to recovery the money spent for the upgrade. Im sticking with my price as I rather keep it for Oppo 5.1 SACD & DVD Audio analog switching if not for anything else. I have a Sony preamp that only does just that and it goes for BIG bucks. A lot of people dont realize that the MC8 can do 5.1 switching whereas the MC12 cannot. If it werent for the optional MC12 EQ card I would like the MC8 Ver 2 better. Im selling this unit as Upgrade parts! Upgrading and installing a new power supply does take some knowledge but just about anyone can do it as its pretty much plug and play. As with any upgrade its sold as is for parts. Attempt at your own risk. Please fell free to ask questions. Ill do my best to answer.

** Please Read ** Only 3 of the 5 channels are working and remote turn on does not seem to work. I have owned this amp for about 8 years and have been using it for my surround Atmos speakers. I contacted Bryston and they will go through the amplifier for ~ $1000 + shipping. However, I added another pair of Atmos speakers and needed a 6-channel amp so I decided to go in a different direction. The amp was rack mounted and does NOT come with feet. I do not have the original box but it will be shipped double boxed in an Anthem Amplifier box. Please let me know if any questions.

Lexicon MC-8 Digital Controller 7.1 XLR Balanced Outputs Tested Audiophile READ eBay Listing: Lexicon MC-8 Digital Controller overview Video will open in a new window Using the eBay App? Paste link into a browser window: [isdntekvideo] READ ****Excellent Cosmetic Condition - we are working on procuring a remote and XLR cables to test the remaining outputs - so far everything works with one Caveat - the volume will only decrease from its set position - I am hoping this is some type of Setting but I wont have further clarity until I can get a remote to access the menus and factory reset this. Remote arrives 3/25 - I will update the listing accordingly UPDATE 4/10/24 : WE have a remote and have tested it with an XLR Amplifier - the volume works from the remote however it is an off brand remote and has limited functionality - we have tested all the zone 1 and zone 2 inputs out outputs and all the XLR outputs with no issue This unit has rack mount brackets on it, they will be removed for shipping. All the lights work - we have photos of the circuit board - in one photo you can see a red light on the circuit the board - this is an indicator that the front power button is powered off but the main power is on. This currently is running V 1.0 - there is a free 2.0 upgrade available but I dont have a windows computer or running parallels to upgrade it.
