Here is one of the finest FM stereo tuners ever made. I know this to be true because I am from Yorkshire and am also VERY OLD and consequently NEVER WRONG. It’s a Leak Delta stereo FM Tuner and it is almost perfect (read on...) This tuner has been in dry storage for over ten years. It hasn’t been re-furbished (you can do that) and it hasn’t had any components/capacitors etc changed. It WORKS very well indeed on VHF FM Stereo. The controls don’t crunch. The switches all switch. It is plays loud-and-clear, and is working well on VHF FM. I have one in my music room that I feed into my treasured Leak Delta 70. BUT... this tuner doesn’t work on medium wave/long wave AM! With a HUGE aerial or a signal booster, you can receive some interference and “shash” so I think it just needs re-aligning on the AM section only. I have owned THREE of these lovely tuners, and NONE have ever worked on medium wave/long wave AM!! I don’t know how much stuff is broadcast on medium wave/long wave AM nowadays, and it’s pretty lo-fi anyway, so it isn’t a problem unless you desperately want to listen to BBC World Service or Radio Caroline. The wooden sleeve/case is all original and shines like a good deed in a naughty world (which is yer actual Shakespeare). There are a few light marks which can be seen on the photographs. A quick going-over with Mr Sheen and it’ll look lovely. IMPORTANT BIT. It is, as far as I can see, totally original and un-mucked-about-with, so if you’re not used to old vintage gear, I recommend that you think long and hard before you buy it. It dates from 1972 (it’s 51 years old, for goodness sakes) so it may eventually need a prod or two from an expert who is used to poking around the insides of these wonderful legendary ancient beasts. At the moment, it is working magnificently (on stereo FM). I am not a dealer. I am just a very old bloke thinning out his lifetime collection of STUFF before the floor collapses (or I do). Im selling most of this stuff for much less than I paid for it. What a great business plan (I dont think)! I am certainly NOT INTERESTED IN PROFIT.. ..and indeed, seldom make any! What little profit I do make goes to help a very splendid Wildlife Rescue Charity. The item in the photograph is the item you will get. Working all good....havent got dedicated aerial so just bunged in the blue wire you can see in pics, into aerial slot and lovely clear FM signal as is MW....couldnt get much of one on SW but my area is notorious for its bad signals......In very nice cosmetic condition...see pics. Its still got its 2 pin Euro plug on it so I used a adaptor...you can either cut of 2 pinner and fit a UK 3 pin plug or get yourself an adaptor...I need mine.
