Up for auction is a pair of rare, excellent-sounding JM Lab Focal Laureate bookshelf speakers. Consecutive serial numbers. All drivers work. Some online info indicates the woofers are dual voice coil (I havent pulled them to verify)- bottom line is the bass is tight and articulate. When I purchased the speakers, both Audax TW80 tweeters were dead. I happened to have a pair of Audax TW60 tweeters in-house and thats whats in the speakers now. To my ears, they blend with the woofers well and sound excellent. Somewhere along the way, one of the speaker terminal plates was apparently removed and put back upside down- easily remedied, if desired. One cabinet and grille are in excellent condition; the other one sustained some damage at some point and the grille is cracked in 2 places but holds together OK and stays in place. In short, the speakers work and sound great but one has compromised cosmetics. Both JM Lab grille logos are missing. Offered AS IS, as described.
